Secretaries Evening


Over 40 local business ladies attended a ladies pamper and shopping evening a Hatherley Manor Hotel last Tuesday 14th July.



Sarah Hayfield, the hotels Sales Manager commented "These complimentary events that we occasionally organise are a great way for us to thank local businesses who use the hotel and is also the perfect opportunity for showing off our facilities to those who may need to use the hotel in the future" The evening proved a great success and all the exhibitors and guests had a fantastic evening.

Sorin doesn't let the rain ruin their day!

Today, Sorin spent the day at the hotel doing various teambuilding events such as a treasure hunt and human table football. This was then followed by a Pig Roast dinner.

New face at Hatherley Manor - makes the newspaper!

Jessica Norris, the newest recruit in the Sales office at Hatherley Manor Hotel, has today made it in the Gloucestershire Echo.

The article reads:-

One of Cheltenham's top hotels has a fresh face amongst its staff.

Jess Norris, from Tewkesbury, has been recruited by the Hatherley Manor Hotel as independent events co-ordinator.

The 18 year old, who went to Denmark Road School in Gloucester will be responsible for dealing with events such as conferences, weddings and meetings at the 17th century hotel.

She said "Joining Hatherley Manor is a great opportunity and I'm looking forward to getting into the swing of things."
The Hatherley Manor Hotel, which has been open since the 1980's, recently underwent a £1 million refurbushment. It has 50 en suite rooms and is a popular venue for Weddings and Conferences.
Sales Manager Sarah Hayfield said: "It's great to give young people a chance in the hospitality industry, we know she's going to be a great addition to the team."

Tourists flock to Potter locations!


Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince and Sacha Baron Cohen creation Bruno are set to boost tourism this summer.
A new TV and film location map for tourists has been produced to highlight the Cotswolds locations used in the latest Harry Potter film.
These include the cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral, as well as the Forest of Dean, the birthplace of Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

VisitBritain film, tourism and public relations manager Katrina Sutton said: "Our research indicates that 40 per cent of potential visitors (to the UK) would be 'very likely' to visit places associated with TV or films."

Race for Life

Congratulations to the girls at Hatherley Manor for taking part in the Cheltenham Race for Life yesterday. The girls raised a staggering £1200 in aid of Cancer Research.

Barclays Conference



Today, 140 delegates descended on Hatherley Manor for a conference for Barclays. They were lucky enough to have their tea and coffee outside in the (very warm) walled garden! A great day was had by all.
